They did it again!! Led by Paul Pike of the Mi'Kmaq
Nation, Medicine Dream has once more made a recording that is
wonderful from beginning to end. Honoring the heritage of indigenous
people throughout the Americas while looking to the future, they blend
the ageless sound of traditional singing, drumming and Native American
flute with the expressive energy of the guitars and drums of rock.

Back by popular demand!! What can I say?!? This
recording is awesome. It combines Native American flute and
traditional singing and drumming with rock and progressive sounds
better than anyone else I have heard. It's fantastic anytime, but is
also one I love to pop in the player and crank up when I hit the
highway. Led by Paul Pike of the Mi'Kmaq Nation, their intertribal
sound is a tribute to the spirit of Native peoples everywhere.

Howard has a rich voice, lively guitar style and writes thought
provoking, spirit moving ballads. Blending the vocal and instrumental
elements of his traditional native lifestyle with those that are more
contemporary, he has succeeded in giving his original music an eclectic
flavor.
Singer Joanne Shenandoah is a special guest on this recording, which was
a NAMMY nominee for best folk recording in 2001. |

"The music on this recording are melodies and chants rooted in the
history of the Haudenosaunee (The People of the Longhouse). They were
created in a time beyond memory. They were composed to honor all women
since we are all the life givers of our Mother Earth." - Joanne

More traditional drumming from many of the former members of Full Circle
Drum. They are one of the most populat drums in the Northeast. |

The Full Circle Drum Society of Quinnehtukqut, the
name given to Connecticut by its first peoples, is made up of many
Nations. All of their songs are written in the Natick dialect of the
Algonquin language, in an effort to revitalize the disappearing
knowledge of the language and give hope to its continuance through times
to come. This traditional drum is a personal favorite. |
